NTnews - Latest fashion designs, GingerDead news, etc...

HOME January was a little slow for releases. I took some time off from SL to focus on the webcomic, trying to get ahead a few strips, fulfilling some guest comic obligations and marketing like a mad woman. It's was time worth spent. GingerDead and Friends is starting to rock out with some days as many as 1,000 unique visitors and on average around 600. Not bad for a noob in the webcomic world where there are over 8,000 other comics to be found amongst. Good news for NT fans is I'm back and all the drawing I've been doing has effected my designs in a nice way I think. VenBowler is inspired by the 1940's and 50's bowling shirts. The design on the back is from a strip I did about Vendetta daydreaming about her future and wishing to grow up to become a Suicide Girl. You can check out the actual strip here. It ended up posted on the SG website and landed me some awesome swag. I was nicely surprised to say the least. :) Reviewed on Appearance Mode fashion blog here.
Next up is something for the boys. With this one, I tried to combine some of the classic vampy threads with modern pants and cut on the jacket. Of course, if you mod the pants this looks great on girls too.
Inspired by some flowers I saw recently I wanted to use the same lovely color. I was going for something very modern, sexy and strong. I really am happy with Petal. I think it would look awesome in real life.
Next up is Whimsical, named because of the mood I was in when I designed it. Here I spent some time experimenting with digitally painting on the fabrics beyond the normal pattern or shading. The colors came out just how I wanted them to and the flowers are really cute. I think I'll be painting more on my designs soon. This was actually really fun to do.
