To
kick off October I created an awesome costume. Many of you
know that I like to occasionally replicate wardrobe's from
films. (ie: Tank Girl, Aeon Flux, Fight Club) This one
takes the cake in my opinion. I adored Milla Jovavich's
character Leeloo in the film the Fifth Element. I don't
know what has taken me so long to create it in-world. This
one is definitely designed with selfish intentions as I myself
simply HAD to have this. I spent a lot of hours on this
trying to get the outfit as close as possible to the film and
creating the wonderful orange moppy hair to complete the look.
I wore this all weekend and the response I got was incredible.
For those wondering, no I don't paste the actor/actress 's
pictures on to a skin and make a shape when I do film related
work. My approach is to create the wardrobe so that an
avatar can dress up in the clothing but still be themselves.
In real life, you can hit auction sites to get the actual items
from films if you are wealthy and have a grand or more to spare
on such things. In second life, I can create the items and
make them affordable to everyone. kaia is thoroughly
enjoying dressing up in Leeloo gear and hair. I hope
other Leeloo fans will have fun with this set too. :)
ANNOUNCEMENT:
ON MONDAY OCTOBER 9th - GingerDead and Friends webcomic will be
released along with a new clothing line called the NT GingerDead
collection. I will be adding a link to the nav here to
lead you to more information and the webcomic site. :)

October 9th 2006 - The Gingerdead and Friends webcomic is
officially launched!
www.GingerDead.com This week it
will update Mon - Fri as a kick off and then every Wednesday
afterwards. Along with the site's launch I am releasing
GingerDead and Lenoir Avatars and a new line of clothing called
the NT GingerDead Collection. See the images in the
GDC GALLERY.

Second Life journalist, Toni Bentham, wrote a terrific article
on the comic featured on page 12 of this week's M2. Hoooo!
Thanks Toni! I have also had some blog mentions including
a write up by
Torley Linden since the launch.
Tonight I gathered some people from the NT/GIngerDead group for
a photoshoot for another SL magazine...more on that when it's
out. I have really had a terrific response and a ton of
support from my fellow Second Life residents. It makes me
all warm and fuzzy. :)
Samhain / Halloween 2005 - This week I released 3 new
outfits and a new version of another one. In addition,
there will be two GingerDead strips this week as I did a special
one for Halloween today. It's been a lil slow lately and
in case your wondering it's not the comic slowing me down, but
some RL obligations I had over the last two weeks. All
that is nearly complete, so Nocturnal Threads should be updating
weekly again. Anyway, here's what I'm closing the month
